There was one thing missing from the Pittsburgh Steelers offense in 2020 — a consistent running game. That led to the passing attack having too much pressure on them and they failed down the stretch going from an 11-0 team to one that lost four of their final five regular-season games and then their only playoff game as well.

In an effort to fix this, the Steelers picked up Alabama running back Najee Harris in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft. And while he’s impressed many of the fans, he’s also winning over former players, including former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch.

"“When you look at what Najee Harris brings to the table … Everyone saw what he did at Alabama, but when you watch him in practice, man … the pile is always moving forward. He’s not missing many holes, and he’s always gaining yardage. From that perspective, the offensive line is really confident that if they open the holes, he’s going to make some big plays.” — Batch on Najee Harris via Tommy Jaggi of Still Curtain"

If Harris helps them become more two-dimensional on offense, and the defense continues to play well after adding Joe Schobert to the mix, they could be back in the mix for the AFC North this season.
