54. . . Previous: 29th. Philadelphia Eagles. 27. team

The Philadelphia Eagles one major question entering this season is whether or not Jalen Hurts can get it done. They play in a division that has been bad (to say the least) in recent years and Washington even won it with a record of 7-9 in 2020.

Philly could contend with them if Hurts is the guy. Unfortunately, we don’t know for sure if he is. His numbers left a lot to be desired during his rookie season (52.0 completion percentage with a 6-to-4 touchdown-to-interception ratio), as did his 1-3 record as the starter — however, one of those losses was rather controversial.

With all that being said, a case could be made that the front office might not have 100 percent faith in him as the starter. On Saturday, the Eagles traded for Gardner Minshew who was the starter for the Jacksonville Jaguars until Trevor Lawrence joined the team.

Minshew isn’t going to set the world on fire but he has a little more experience than Hurts which could lead to some issue if the second-year player starts to struggle — I mean, the most popular player in Philly for years has always been the backup quarterback.

Hurts has been given more weapons which should help but he has to prove this season that he’s the answer for the future.
