Chicago Bears Tight Ends

TE1: Cole Kmet

Kmet is ready to build upon last season’s success. He started out slowly but saw an increased number of snaps as the season progressed. He attended the Tight End University camp run by George Kittle, Greg Olsen, and Travis Kelce. That must have had an impact since he came to camp a more confident player ready to break out.

TE2: Jimmy Graham

Fans spent all offseason trying to determine when the Bears would finally cut him. Well, that never happened. He’s still on the roster and ready to contribute again. The question now is whether he’ll have the same season as he had last year. He had 456 receiving yards and eight touchdowns. He may not repeat that, but if he still has a fairly good season to complement Kmet, the Bears will have a good tight-end duo.

TE3: Jesse James

The Bears signed James after Jake Butt retired. He made an instant impact in training camp and in the preseason games. He’ll be a good backup option and gives the Bears good depth.

TE4: Jesper Horsted

This was a battle between Horsted and J.P. Holtz. That was until Horsted put an exclamation point on his stake to the position. He had over 100 yards receiving and three touchdown catches in the finale. He gets the edge after that performance.
