New England Patriots Fantasy Football Guide

At best, Mac Jones can have weekly streaming value. I find it hard to see him providing consistent enough production to be rostered the entire season. The Patriots backfield is always a mess. Damien Harris Is the only player I like from that group. At bare minimum, he should be New England’s primary back in neutral situations and at the goal-line.

James White intrigues me if there are no proven receiving backs left in the draft. With Newton at quarterback, I expect this team to run the ball a lot more, which helps the running backs and not the wide receivers. Rhamondre Stevenson may become a worthy waiver pickup for me’ I’m not ready to anoint him the next James Robinson, yet.

If/when this team turns to Jones, it could give a boost to Nelson Agholor and Jakobi Meyers. I like Agholor better—and it seems the Patriots agree with me after giving him $22 million over two years this offseason. Keep an eye on Meyers. Fade the rest of the receiving core until a guy proves he can be a reliable pass catcher.

Historically speaking, tight ends in situations like these don’t work out well in fantasy. I’m not touching Jonnu Smith nor Hunter Henry at their ADPs, though I’d prefer Smith due to Henry’s injury history. If anything were to happen to either player, the other would become a top-10 tight end.
