Fantasy Football Guide 2021: AFC sleepers, targets, busts, strategies

No team infuriates me more than Jacksonville. I’ve been very vocal about my confusion and disdain for the moves they’ve made this off-season. Bringing in Carlos Hyde and giving him significant carries is not a wise move when you have a perfectly good, young running back in James Robinson. I don’t expect this offense to run the ball the same way they did last year. Still, Robinson should command the majority of touches. He’s worth drafting as your RB3.
Trevor Lawrence really has his work cut out for him. My strategy mostly dissuades me from taking Lawrence because I like to wait for my backup quarterback. He should have enough pass attempts and rushes to be, say, a top-15 quarterback by the season’s end.
The wide receiver room is so strange, so here are my quick thoughts: Yes to Laviska Shenault Jr. (especially after Travis Etienne’s injury), no to D.J. Chark (lack of consistency at his ADP is a turn-off) and sure to Marvin Jones. People sleep on how productive Jones has been these last few years. After falling 22 yards shy of 1,000 yards last season, I’d bet Jones leads Jags’ receivers in that category. Shenault will probably be used in multiple ways again, thus boosting his stock.
I was trying to think of a funny way to tell you I don’t like Jacksonville‘s tight ends while also making a Tim Tebow joke, but my thoughts were cut short.
