NFL: Ranking every MVP winner in league history based on pro career
Ranking every MVP winner in NFL history: 1. Tom Brady
Stats:
- 79,204 passing yards
- 581 touchdowns
- 191 interceptions
There are a ton of great names on this list. From Peyton Manning to Jim Brown, their place in the history of the NFL is solidified. With that said, no matter how impossibly great they are and everyone else who was mentioned on this list, no one comes even close to quarterback Tom Brady.
His greatest of all time claim is ostensible. Over the course of his career, Brady has racked up the accolades like no other. He ranks second in NFL history in completed passes with 6,778, and passing yards with 79,204. Brady also checks in first in terms of pass attempts with 10,598 and passing touchdowns with 581. His list of individual awards is also outrageous. Brady has 14 Pro Bowl appearances, three All-Pro selections (a little low in our opinion), three regular season MVPs, and seven Super Bowl rings.
Even now, well into his 40s, Brady is still going strong. His reign at the top of the NFL feels as though it’s been perpetual. With his ability to shred defenses every Sunday, there’s no telling how long Brady will keep playing.
But whether he decides to hang them up soon or ten years from now is extraneous. It’ll be a long time until someone passes Brady on our list.
