25. Philadelphia Eagles (via Miami Dolphins): Myjai Sanders, EDGE, Cincinnati

This past draft, the Philadelphia Eagles did a good job moving around and maximizing their capital. While they may have given up a third-round pick in a trade with Dallas to jump from 12 to 10, they did also move out of the top-10 originally and landed some capital in the process. That’s why they’re now on the board for the third time in our 2022 NFL Mock Draft.

After landing Malik Willis, who will be their starting quarterback before long, and Kaiir Elam, who can help fix their secondary, they now go for someone to bolster their pass rush. Philadelphia selects Myjai Sanders from Cincinnati to fill this role and he should be a player who can really make an impact from day one.

He’s listed at 6-foot-5 and 258-pounds, but he’s more than just a solid-sized edge rusher. He’s also someone who can get after the quarterback in a hurry thanks to his incredible speed. Right now, the Eagles have some speed with Josh Sweat working in the rotation but Brandon Graham and Derek Barnett are known more for their strength.

They could also be on the way out eventually. Graham is turning 34 before the 2022 season and while he’s been great for 11 seasons in Philly, no one can play forever. As for Barnett, the Eagles picked up the fifth year on his contract so he will be there in 2022, but so far he has yet to hit his ceiling, so there could be a decision coming soon.

Adding Sanders gives them options with each of those players.
