26. New York Jets (via Seattle Seahawks): Breece Hall, RB, Iowa State

The New York Jets are back on the clock after using their first pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft on Oregon pass-rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux. Now, they’re on the clock with the final first-round selection they gained in the Jamal Adams trade.

Seattle is happy enough with Adams that they gave him a monster extension but the truth is, the Jets won that trade. With their Round 1 pick gained in 2021, they added offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker who joins Mekhi Becton as a part of an improving line.

The two of them will do wonders for Zach Wilson, who they took with their own selection this season and they hope that the line does enough to help fourth-round selection Michael Carter take over as the lead back.

Carter could end up surprising us all but if New York decides that he’s not the featured back of the future, they could use this selection on Breece Hall from Iowa State.

Hall is a monster with the ball in his hands and racked up 21 touchdowns and 1,572 yards as a sophomore. The Cyclones offense was run through Hall and that will happen again in 2021. This should lead to the 220-pound running back finding a home quickly in the NFL.
