FanDuel Week 1 picks and lineup advice: Wide Receiver

Wide receiver is also an essential position in daily fantasy, though it is also a position where you can find much cheaper options with a higher chance to produce. There are plenty of top options, and which you choose largely depends on the rest of your team.

DeAndre Hopkins ($8,200) and Calvin Ridley ($8,100) paired with Kyler Murray and Matt Ryan, respectively, make up some of my favorite stacks of the week. Furthermore, I like both of the Titans and Vikings receivers, as they both project to be on high scoring offenses against bad defenses this week. I expect Adam Thielen ($7,300) to find the end zone this week and Julio Jones ($7,000) is a steal at his price tag.

If you spent up at other positions and are looking for some cheaper options, look no further than Marvin Jones Jr. ($5,800) and Corey Davis ($5,800). Both project to be the top option in their offense and the ability to get a team’s WR1 at this price point is valuable, even if they are on relatively weak offenses.

However, two of my favorite plays at receiver come at an even cheaper price. DeVonta Smith ($5,300) also figures to be the number one option in the Eagles offense and should be able to pay off this cheap salary with ease. Similarly, Michael Pittman Jr. ($5,300) flashed his talent last year and could be the WR1 on a solid Colts offense with T.Y Hilton sidelined.

Marquez Callaway ($5,200) is also sure to be a popular pick, though I would rather spend up for Pittman Jr. or Smith as I have more confidence in their abilities and roster percentage.
