NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Saints blow by Packers, Kyler and Cardinals shine

All the questions are going to come out now about Cam Newton and Ron Rivera meeting back up with his former quarterback Cam Newton. Cam was released by the New England Patriots after he lost his job to Mac Jones. Rather than signing with a team right away, Newton sat back and waited to see what transpired.
Well on Sunday, the Washington Football Team lost to the Los Angeles Chargers by a score of 20-16 but they also saw Ryan Fitzpatrick go down with an injury as well. The well-traveled veteran had just 13 yards on 3-of-6 passing before he suffered a hip injury and had to be replaced by Taylor Heinicke.
In relief of Fitzpatrick, Heinicke had 122 yards on 11-of-15 passing with a touchdown and no picks. However, he didn’t complete many deep passes and was unable to lead the team to a win. Washington probably feels comfortable going with him but what if there’s a shred of doubt? If so, they could decide to call the quarterback who made it to the Super Bowl in Carolina with Rivera.
Washington plays in a division that was a complete mess last season. They don’t need to win a ton to contend, but perhaps adding Cam could be the difference.
