NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Saints blow by Packers, Kyler and Cardinals shine

Again, Deshaun Watson was in the news before the Houston Texans took the field on Sunday. This time, it was reported that the Texans want six players or picks for Watson and if they don’t get that, he will sit all season.
It’s rare to see a team take such a stance when a player demands a trade but the fact is, Watson just signed an extension not that long ago and he put himself in this position by committing to a team he didn’t want to commit to (yes, I know there was more to it than that but he saw the signs that this front office was shooting from the hip).
As for their play on the field, the Texans looked just fine without him in Week 1. Tyrod Taylor was on fire, throwing 229 yards and two touchdowns in the first half, finishing with 21-of-33 passing for 291 yards and two touchdowns. Even Danny Amendola got in on the fun as the 35-year-old wideout had five receptions for 34 yards including an eight-yard touchdown reception with 29 seconds left in the first half.
Mark Ingram ended up running for 85 yards and a touchdown and David Johnson also had a score, although his came through the air. Now at 1-0, they head to Cleveland next week which will let us know if they’re a good team, or if the Jags are just that bad.
