NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Saints blow by Packers, Kyler and Cardinals shine

For all the heat the Chicago Bears have taken so far for starting Andy Dalton over Justin Fields, they might not have seen anything yet.
Dalton wasn’t terrible in his debut for the Bears but he also wasn’t great. Sure, he was playing against the favored Los Angeles Rams in front of a packed SoFi Stadium on Sunday Night Football, but those are the games a team trying to get back in the playoffs should be able to handle.
Instead, Chicago was run out of the building by a score of 34-14 with Dalton finishing 27-of-38 with 206 yards, no touchdowns, and an interception in the end zone. Chicago did get Fields out there some, as he had 10 yards on 2-of-2 passing but also ran in a three-yard touchdown.
Chicago did have another silver lining in David Montgomery. The young running back went for 108 yards on 16 carries with a touchdown and added 10 more yards on his only catch. He did everything he could to keep them in the game but after they made it a 27-14 game, the Rams put it away with another long drive.
Don’t expect this to change Matt Nagy’s mind though. He’s been stubborn about Dalton and won’t let one loss change his mind, especially when the entire NFC North all lost, meaning they’re still in first place at 0-1. So that’s something.
