NFL Power Rankings, Week 2: Saints blow by Packers, Kyler and Cardinals shine

Not everything was terrible for the Minnesota Vikings, even though they lost on Sunday. The Vikings were shocked by the Cincinnati Bengals who took a commanding 21-7 lead in the third quarter before Kirk Cousins and the Vikings kicked it into high gear.
Minnesota scored 10 in the final quarter while holding the Bengals to three as they sent it to overtime. After a few back and forth series, they got the ball to the Bengals’ 38 and had a first-down. Then, disaster struck as Dalvin Cook fumbled the ball away.
Cincinnati then moved it 46 yards in seven plays before watching Evan McPherson kick a 33-yard field goal to send the Vikings back to Minnesota with their heads down.
The Vikings could walk away from this one feeling sorry for themselves, or they could look at it as a building block. They proved they can handle a little adversity and had it not been for an uncharacteristic fumble from Cook, they likely would be 1-0 and looking down on the rest of their division.
That’s the other positive note. The rest of the NFC North didn’t fare much better, including the Green Bay Packers who were run out of the building in New Orleans. As long as they stay within striking distance of them, they will have a shot in the North.
