FanDuel NFL picks and advice for Week 2 of the 2021 NFL season to help you build the best DFS fantasy football lineup.

Welcome back to another weekly installment of FanDuel picks and advice, this time for Week 2 of the NFL season. Regardless of how you played Week 1, you were likely quickly introduced to the highs and lows of daily fantasy football.

While I personally had a profitable week largely on the back of my Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins/Christian Kirk stacks, I also missed out on a lot of potential with Raheem Mostert, Kyle Pitts, and Najee Harris in a lot of my Week 1 lineups.

Looking ahead to Week 2, we have plenty of games with high projected point totals that should provide various opportunities for fantasy points. Since in this article only players from the main slate are discussed, this means that players from the Ravens, Chiefs, Football Team, Giants, Lions, and Packers will not be available in this slate.

When talking about players I will reference the salaries and salary cap of a typical FanDuel tournament. I will also show a complete sample lineup, which consists of nine positions: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, WR, TE, FLEX, and DEF. Note that your individual strategy should change based on the type of contests you enter, though I will reference different strategies for both cash and tournament formats.

Without further ado, here are picks and advice for every position for Week 2 of the NFL season!

FanDuel Week 2 picks and lineup advice: Quarterback

With players like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson unavailable on this slate, Kyler Murray ($8,700) is the most expensive quarterback on the slate. Coming off a phenomenal five touchdown performance in Week 1, he looks poised to have another strong showing against a Vikings defense that started off the year on the wrong foot. However, there are plenty of other elite options this week as well.

Russell Wilson ($8,500) gets a matchup with the defense Murray tore apart in Week 1 and is coming off a fantastic and efficient performance himself. Wilson has a very realistic chance of a four touchdown game and could be stacked with both Tyler Lockett and D.K Metcalf this week.

Tom Brady ($8,100) also has a fantastic matchup with an Atlanta team that looked lifeless against the Eagles in Week 1. Brady clearly has not lost a step and should put up 300 plus yards and three touchdowns against the Falcons.

Dak Prescott ($8,000) and Justin Herbert ($7,600) get to face off in the game with the highest over-under of the week. Of the two, Prescott projects to throw more but I like the value of Herbert for $400 cheaper and I think we see another fantastic game as he continues to establish himself as one of the best passers in the NFL.

There are also some cheap options I like this week, with Baker Mayfield ($7,100) leading the way. Even though the Browns could likely handle the Texans without Mayfield attempting a single pass, I like his chances to provide value at this salary and the Browns to put up four to five touchdowns as a team with ease.

If you are looking to fully punt the position, I do not mind Matt Ryan ($6,700) in what should be a high scoring affair between him and the Bucs. While he certainly carries the risk of a terrible week and I would not recommend going with him in cash formats, he carries upside at that salary that other quarterbacks in that range do not for tournaments.
