2022 NFL Mock Draft – Picks No. 17-20

Chris Olave. 17. player. 47. . WR (Ohio State). New England Patriots

Despite spending big on offense in free agency this offseason, the Patriots still need some help with their pass-catchers. Nelson Agholor and Kendrick Bourne are improvements from 2020 but aren’t long-term stars. Chris Olave, however, has that type of potential. With elite route-running and great playmaking, the Ohio State product would be Mac Jones’ long-term WR1 in New England.

Jalen Wydermyer. 18. player. 35. . TE (Texas A&M). Tennessee Titans

Things didn’t get off to a great start for the Titans in the 2021 season for a number of reasons but it was quite evident that they missed Jonnu Smith, who left in free agency.

Jalen Wydermyer could be the perfect answer. Not only has he been a productive pass-catcher and nice athlete after the catch in college but he’s the best blocking tight end in his draft class. That will give the Titans an option in the passing game but also help out the offensive line as they have taken a slight step back.

Miami Dolphins. Darian Kinnard. 19. player. 59. . OT (Kentucky)

(Pick via 49ers) – For as much investment as the Dolphins have put into their offensive line throughout this rebuilding effort, you would think that unit would look a lot more complete in the 2021 season. Alas, Tua Tagovailoa is less than protected with Austin Jackson and Jesse Davis starting at left and right tackle. Davis is the bigger issue, though, which is why Darian Kinnard is the pick. A right tackle prospect, the mountain of a human being would be a substantial high-upside upgrade over Davis.

20. player. 49. . LB (Alabama). Green Bay Packers. Christian Harris

A new defensive coordinator did nothing to fix all of the issues on the Packers defense, at least to start the 2021 season. But it’s hard to expect anyone to do too much when the Green Bay linebacker group has consistently not been addressed.

That changes in this 2022 NFL mock draft with Christian Harris. An absolute stud out of Alabama, he’s long, he’s athletic and he’s the type of chess piece at linebacker that has been nowhere to be seen for the Packers in recent years.
