2022 NFL Mock Draft – Picks No. 25-28

25. player. 26. . OL (Ohio State). Baltimore Ravens. Thayer Munford

Despite what happened against Oregon in Ohio State’s upset loss, Thayer Munford is deserving of a lot of respect as a player who has long possessed physical tools but has put together more technique and prowess with each passing year. The Ravens are feeling the loss of Orlando Brown Jr. on the right side of the offensive line right now. Taking the Buckeyes star to man that spot would be a tremendous aid moving forward.

Arizona Cardinals. Ahmad Gardner. 26. player. 32. . CB (Cincinnati)

Contrary to what they showed in beating up on the Titans, the Cardinals defense still has some flaws and the most obvious is cornerback. They finally parted with Patrick Peterson and now have a lot of unproven guys or mediocre fveterans at the position.

That’s why Ahmad Gardner makes a ton of sense for Arizona. He’s a long, athletic corner who excels in man-coverage, which the Cardinals play just as much as any team in the league. This is a perfect match of need, player and fit.

27. player. 55. . QB (Liberty). Pittsburgh Steelers. Malik Willis

Who knows if this is the last year that Ben Roethlisberger takes snaps for the Steelers but the end is certainly nigh for the future Hall-of-Fame quarterback. And Pittsburgh needs to finally get a legitimate contingency play. Malik Willis has every tool in the world and the biggest arm in the draft class. He is raw still but that arm and dual-threat ability could make him dangerous with the weapons in the Steel City.

player. 50. . WR (Georgia). Detroit Lions. George Pickens. 28

(Pick via Los Angeles Rams) – For my money, George Pickens would be the first wide receiver taken in the 2022 NFL Draft if not for a torn ACL suffered in offseason workouts. He’s still trying to return later in the year but his talent is undeniable.

And the Lions definitely need talent at wide receiver. While there are some pieces, Detroit lacks an alpha at the position who can attack all levels of the field and win matchups in a variety of ways. Pickens is definitely that player and could be the future of the Lions offense.
