4. Denzel Ward comes away with two interceptions
For whatever reason, former first-round pick Denzel Ward hasn’t gotten nearly the amount of national attention that he deserves. When healthy, he’s appeared on the precipice of establishing himself as one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL. On Sunday against Tyrod Taylor and the Texans he’ll show off some playmaking to help earn some of that needed attention.
Though Brandin Cooks is a talented player who Ward will see a lot of, the former Ohio State star has the physical tools to hang with the veteran receiver at every level of the field. But that won’t stop Taylor from trying to force-feed his top target, which will allow Ward to walk away with two picks to his credit on the afternoon.
3. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt each score two touchdowns
Though the shootout nature of the matchup against the Chiefs forced the Browns to get away from the run game somewhat, the 1-2 punch of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt continued to look as dangerous as ever. Chubb finished with 15 carries for 83 yards and two scores along with two receptions for 18 yards and Hunt had six carries for 33 yards and a score with three receptions for 28 yards.
There aren’t many strong spots on the Texans defense and that will be evident as Chubb and Hunt are deployed to attack that group in all types of different manners. They will help to carry the load of an explosive offensive performance and will each find their way across the goal line on two occasions, either on the ground or through the air.
