Stud: RB Ty’Son Williams

As has been well-documented, the Ravens’ running back corps was decimated by injuries recently. The team lost J.K. Dobbins and Gus Edwards to torn ACLs and Justice Hill to an Achilles injury. Baltimore added veterans Le’Veon Bell (who remains on the practice squad), Davonta Freeman and Latavius Murray to offset those losses. The latter two combined for 65 yards rushing and Murray scored a touchdown vs, the Chiefs.

But former undrafted free agent Ty’son Williams gave the offense a spark. The speedy runner carried 13 times for 77 yards and caught two passes for 16 yards. And his fumble near the goal line in the first quarter was caught by teammate Devin Duvernay for a score. Give him an “assist.”

Dud: WR Sammy Watkins

Back in 2014, the Buffalo Bills made him the fourth overall pick in the draft. And after signing with the Ravens this offseason, the well-traveled wide receiver is with his fourth team in eight years. Sammy Watkins was targeted seven times on Sunday night and caught just four passes for 44 yards.

He didn’t appear to be a big part of the game plan for the team. And that’s somewhat understandable considering the Ravens’ ground attack. But Watkins also didn’t make the most of his opportunities.
