1. QB Aaron Rodgers

His performance last week against the Saints at Jacksonville was nearly unrecognizable. Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers looked somewhat lifeless in the team’s 38-3 loss to New Orleans on the opening Sunday of the season. He barely completed 50 percent of his passes (15-of-28), threw for 133 yards, was picked off twice and eventually took a seat so second-year pro Jordan Love could get some playing time.

Keep in mind that this was the NFL’s Most Valuable Player in 2020, throwing 48 touchdown passes compared to only five interceptions. What happened?

Many expect the Packers and Rodgers to get well on Monday night when the defensively-challenged Detroit Lions invade Lambeau Field. The prolific signal-caller has prevailed in 17 of the 22 games he’s started against this NFC North rival. He’s totaled 5,662 yards through the air — good for 46 scores and only eight interceptions. Green Bay has won the last four meetings in this series.

But keep in mind that Dan Campbell’s club showed a lot of fight last Sunday against the visiting 49ers. San Francisco took a 41-17 lead with less than 10 minutes to play and narrowed the gap to eight points.
