2. Aaron Rodgers bounces back in 300-yard, 4-touchdown scorched earth game

After his abysmal performance against New Orleans and with all of the negativity around Aaron Rodgers, former Packers fullback John Kuhn said he believed the quarterback could “go scorched earth” on the Lions. I tend to agree.

For as disengaged and lackluster as Rodgers was last week, he’s not a difficult man to motivate. We’ve seen that throughout his career; this is a future Hall-of-Famer who is consistently driven to prove doubters and naysayers wrong. His MVP-winning 2020 season fits into that category.

There’s no better chance for him to do that than against a bad Lions defense that now is without its top cornerback in Jeff Okudah. Rodgers is going to pick them apart throughout the night and, to make a statement, won’t stop when they are up big.

1. Green Bay Packers shut out Lions in 30-point blowout

Green Bay comes into this game as 11.5-point favorites according to WynnBet. If things play out narratively as I expect them to, that’s going to get left behind in a hurry.

The Packers have every reason to be motivated to make a statement and have the advantages to do so. On paper, Detroit has no answer for this offense, a unit that needs to prove that Week 1 was an anomaly. Furthermore, the Lions offense just doesn’t have the weapons to get after the Packers defense.

In front of the Lambeau faithful, Green Bay is going to thrash an NFC North rival in every facet of the game. They won’t let off the gas and won’t give an inch, ultimately leaving a zero on the scoreboard for Detroit and running away to a 1-1 record.
