2021 NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Ravens knock off Chiefs, Raiders crack top 10

After the infamous crazy eye interview, Adam Gase gave when he first joined the New York Jets, it’s been hard to make him look any worse. But that’s happened.
It wasn’t enough that he ran his team into the ground but he also ruined Sam Darnold. It was bad enough that the Jets gave up on the former No. 3 overall pick after just three seasons and so far, Darnold is proving that the problem was not him.
Following a strong showing in Week 1 against the very team that traded him, Darnold came out in Week 2 and was even better. He threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns as he led his team to another win as the Carolina Panthers are now 2-0 in the Darnold era.
Of course, putting all the credit on him is short-sighted. Carolina’s defense was also firing on all cylinders in this one as they put the clamps on the New Orleans Saints offense. Jameis Winston, who had five touchdowns and no picks in Week 1 had no touchdowns and two interceptions in this one.
They could easily get to 3-0 with a game against the Houston Texans on the schedule next week for Matt Rhule and company. A team that wasn’t on a lot of radars early is making some noise after two weeks.
