Seven NFL teams are undefeated after two weeks of action, but are we buying or selling the early-season success from the Raiders, Rams, Broncos and more?

If it feels like it’s been a wild start to the 2021 NFL season, that’s not far from the truth. After just two weeks, there are only seven undefeated teams remaining in the league: the Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, Denver Broncos, Las Vegas Raiders, Los Angeles Rams, San Francisco 49ers, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

For context, there were 11 undefeated teams in the NFL a year ago. But we’ve already seen perceived contenders such as the Kansas City Chiefs, Green Bay Packers, Baltimore Ravens and several others suffer losses as they come into Week 3 of the 2021 season.

This is about the teams who have remained perfect with a 2-0 record to start the year, though. Because it’s so early, sometimes the records can be lying to you. And that’s what we’re trying to figure out here.

As we come out of Week 2, we’re going through the seven undefeated teams in the league and playing “Buy or Sell” as to whether or not these teams are actual contenders or not. Going in alphabetical order, we start with the Cardinals.

Arizona Cardinals: Sell

Kyler Murray is arguably the NFL MVP favorite after two weeks of the season and deservedly so. His performances in wins over the Titans and Vikings have been breathtaking. Sure, there have been some turnovers, but his playmaking has been on another level early in the year.

Unfortunately for the Cardinals, it also appears as if they need Murray to play at an MVP level if they’re going to win. Their run game has been largely nonexistent outside of the quarterback taking off while the defense looked a bit suspect against the Vikings. In fact, if Greg Joseph makes a relatively easy field goal, Arizona isn’t even on this list.

Arizona started the season 2-0 last year and went on to miss the playoffs. While they’re clearly a better roster than they were in the 2020 campaign, they still feel like a paper tiger that can make the postseason but likely won’t be capable of much beyond that.
