20 Bold predictions for NFL Week 3: CeeDee Lamb goes wild, Nick Chubb runs free
2. Dak Prescott, CeeDee Lamb connect for 3 TDs
Shockingly enough, it was the Dallas Cowboys run game and defense that very much propelled them to a Week 2 win against the Chargers. Don’t expect that to be the case on Monday Night Football against the rival Eagles, though. Eager to make a divisional statement in primetime, Kellen Moore is going to unleash Dak Prescott again. And CeeDee Lamb will be the beneficiary.
Lamb leads the Cowboys in receiving over two weeks with 15 catches for 185 yards and a touchdown. With Amari Cooper likely to play but not at 100 percent and Michael Gallup still out, Lamb is going to be the primary focus and Philadelphia doesn’t have anyone to cover him. It’ll be like a play on loop as Dak continues to hook up with Lamb, who ends up in the end zone.
1. Aaron Rodgers throws for 5 TDs to beat 49ers in primetime
On Sunday Night Football, NFL fans will get a matchup that’s become quite familiar in the NFC with the Green Bay Packers visiting the San Francisco 49ers. At 2-0, the home team is the favorite in this game, which they probably should be. But the oddsmakers don’t factor in a hungry Aaron Rodgers now out to prove the doubters wrong after his and the team’s Week 1 bomb.
Rodgers looked like a cold assassin in Week 2 as the Packers dismantled the Lions. While the 49ers are obviously a better defense, it won’t matter. Green Bay is going to dice up the Niners defense, which they’ll need to as their defense has let them down a bit. The result will be a huge five-touchdown night for Rodgers as he leads his team to a big road victory.
