16. Taylor Heinicke beats Bills by two touchdowns with 300-yard outing

Taylor Heinicke has done all he can early in the 2021 season to prove his heroic playoff outing a year ago wasn’t a flash in the pan. The Washington Football Team quarterback has played well in relief and in one start, completing just under 75 percent of his passes for 458 yards and three touchdowns. What’s shocking, though, is his number are better than Josh Allen, who has completed only 56 percent of his passes for 449 yards and three touchdowns.

Buffalo just hasn’t looked like the team that we saw a year ago. Yes, they blew the Dolphins out, but that looked much more like Miami looking lost once Tua went out. Washington has a better defense in terms of talent and has the offensive firepower with Heinicke to attack the secondary. As such, the Football Team will pick up the stunning road win on Sunday.

15. Christian McCaffrey tops 250 total yards against Texans

NFL Week 3 will kick off on Thursday Night Football as Christian McCaffrey and the Panthers head to Houston to face the Texans. This is a matchup in which Carolina enters with the No. 1-ranked defense in the league through two weeks and playing well with Sam Darnold at quarterback while Houston has played well but goes into this game with third-round rookie Davis Mills making his first career start.

That won’t play well against this Panthers defense and Carolina will, in turn, just gash a quickly tiring Texans defense. McCaffrey is going to be at the forefront of that. He always plays a big part in the offense and puts up big numbers but he’ll massively increase those totals as he’s consistently used to salt away clock and the game in a blowout win.
