Arkansas. Treylon Burks. 53. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. WR. 23. player

23. Cleveland Browns: Treylon Burks, WR, Arkansas

Cleveland Browns fans absolutely love the wide receivers they currently have, so they surely won’t like this pick. However, they’re looking at the current corps with orange and brown distorted glasses and not seeing how much of an overhaul is needed.

Entering Week 3, they’re still waiting to see if Odell Beckham, Jr. can return from his torn ACL suffered in Week 7 of 2020. With him nearing a return, they just lost Jarvis Landry who was placed on the IR with a sprained MCL.

Even when both are back, there’s no guarantee they’ll be the same players they once were. OBJ hasn’t looked like OBJ in years and Landry is fresh off the worst statistical season of his career and is starting to get banged up — and getting another year older usually doesn’t help a guy like him who takes a ton of hard hits get healthy.

That’s why this coming draft season should be spent getting familiar with the best receivers in the nation, and that should include Treylon Burks from Arkansas. When watching Burks, the main thing that stands out is his enormous size — 6-foot-3 and 238-pounds. However, he can still move like a wideout much smaller.

He’s an excellent fit in this Cleveland offense as he offers up solid route running, incredible size, and some much-needed youth.
