4. New York Giants: Drake Jackson, EDGE, USC

At No. 2 overall, we have the New York Giants who are also off to a rough start this season. They’re probably at the point where they need to consider moving on from Daniel Jones who continues to have up and down performances — but hey, at least wide receiver Kenny Golladay was shouting at offensive coordinator Jason Garrett and not him, right? The problem is, general manager Dave Gettelman truly believes in Daniel Jones — and it’s not just because his bagel guy says he should.

Gettelman just seems to believe he has the right make up to be a leader and while there’s some truth to that, it’s hard to be on the outside and wonder how much time they will give him to develop his skills. Sure, he makes several plays per game on the read-option but until he can consistently win throwing the ball the Giants offense will struggle.

Having said all of that, they still elect to give Jones one more season and use this pick on USC pass rusher, Drake Jackson. They may have found something in Georgia’s Azeez Ojulari who fell to them in Round 2 this past season and adding Jackson gives them a two-headed attack as they aim to get after the opposing quarterback. And they will need to do just that in order to stay in games since Jones and the offense aren’t major threats.
