Pick Analysis. CB. 6. 54. Scouting Report. LSU. Derek Stingley. player

6. Philadelphia Eagles (via Indianapolis Colts): Derek Stingley, CB, LSU

This one could go to one of two teams, but the pick will remain the same either way. The Philadelphia Eagles made a trade with the Indianapolis Colts for quarterback Carson Wentz and if he plays 75 percent of the snaps for Indy, they have to surrender their first rounder to the Eagles. So far, Wentz has done that but there’s starting to be some concern that he might not keep it up.

In Week 2, Wentz sprained both of his ankles as the Colts lost and that could hurt his chances of suiting up going forward. Even so, he currently has started enough snaps and until he falls under that threshold, there’s a chance this pick will go to Philly. And in this mock, they use the selection on LSU cornerback Derek Stingley.

Philadelphia has done a solid job re-tooling their offense. Jalen Hurts has played well in the first two games and Jalen Reagor looks better as a No. 2 receiver playing opposite DeVonta Smith. While these three should continue to grow together, the Eagles could use some more playmakers on defense which is what they get in Stingley. Listed at 6-foot-1 and just a shade under 200-pounds, Stingley has all the makings of a shutdown corner and in a division with Terry McLaurin, Amari Cooper, CeeDee Lamb, and Kenny Golladay, the Eagles could use such a defender.
