DraftKings NFL Week 3 lineup picks: Defense/Special Teams

DFS players are going to smash the Broncos ($4,300) against the Jets, as they should in a great matchup. But I’m much less enthused about the next four expensive options, so you should only be paying up for Denver with your D/ST if that’s where you want to allocate capital.

However, I’d much prefer building my DraftKings NFL Week 3 lineup with cheaper options. The Raiders ($3,400) have been a shockingly good unit so far and now face Jacoby Brissett and an awful Dolphins offensive line. Even further down the board, you could certainly take a gamble on the Titans ($2,400) as they face either a hurt Carson Wentz or Jacob Eason.

DraftKings NFL Week 3: Best Lineup for DFS Main Slate

  • QB: Justin Fields, $5,200
  • RB: Nick Chubb, $7,600
  • RB: Austin Ekeler, $7,300
  • WR: Odell Beckham Jr., $5,300
  • WR: Marvin Jones Jr., $4,900
  • WR: Darnell Mooney, $4,300
  • TE: Darren Waller, $7,400
  • FLEX: Robert Woods, $5,700
  • DST: Titans, $2,400

There’s too much value at the wide receiver position to not take advantage of it in your DraftKings NFL Week 3 lineup, which is what we’ve done here. Keep an eye on Mooney as he is questionable but he had a team-high eight targets last week and could be huge with Fields offering upside. OBJ and Jones also are mispriced in what could be good matchups with potentially massive target shares.

Saving at QB and WR allows us to spend up for Chubb to come back from the Fields-Mooney stack with the Browns back and Beckham. We also get to add Ekeler in a hugely favorable matchup, the same of which is true for Waller. And the upside of Woods is big with Tampa’s secondary banged up.

We’re saving on defense with the Titans but, again, their matchup could be hugely favorable given the Colts’ potential issues at quarterback.
