Some unsung heroes for the Los Angeles Rams made several big plays in Week 3

5. Kenny Young, LB – It was a bone-headed decision that cost Kenny Young his opportunities on the field last week as he was ejected for making contact with an official. He seemed to be trying to make up for lost time playing against the Buccaneers, though, as he was flying all over the field and making one play after another in the backfield.

Young finished with 10 total tackles including a beautiful sack on a blitz and along with three tackles for loss. He was an absolute buzzsaw all over the field that was coming up to plug gaps, making plays in space and just generally causing Tampa problems. If he’s going to play like that at linebacker, Young can give LA’s defense a massive jolt.

6. The Offensive Line – We hear all the time about how good the Buccaneers defensive front is with the likes of Shaq Barrett, Ndamukong Suh and Vita Vea. But while they were without Jason Pierre-Paul on Sunday in LA, the Rams offensive line did a phenomenal job of largely keeping them at bay for much of the game and getting a solid push at times as well.

The Rams offensive line only allowed one sack of Stafford, which didn’t come until midway through the final frame. Moreover, they allowed Sony Michel to be passable in the rushing attack and open up the offense through play-action. It was a stellar performance in the trenches, which deserves to be lauded.
