The Dallas Cowboys improved to 2-1 with a win over the Eagles on Monday Night Football and these were the studs and duds from the game

It was their second primetime game of the young season as the Dallas Cowboys hosted the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football in Week 3.

Dallas came out like a team possessed as they scored quickly on the opening drive and even after the Eagles tied it on a defensive touchdown, this one never felt close.

Maybe it was the “Beat Dallas” shirt worn by Nick Sirianni or maybe it was the fact that it was their home opener. Whatever it was, this team was focused and it was hard to find many duds this week, which means Week 3’s studs and duds will be heavy in the stud department.

Dallas Cowboys Week 3 Stud: Dak Prescott, Quarterback

Dak Prescott was once again on fire.

The questions about his ankle are gone as are the concerns about his shoulder which was injured in the preseason. Dak is not only healthy, but he’s also on top of his game mentally.

He finished with 238 yards on 21-of-26 passing with three touchdowns and no picks. It was a great game for Dak as he put his team in first place in the NFC East after three weeks.

Prescott should have had a touchdown rush as well, but the refs called him down short and even though a replay showed half of his body in the end zone, they somehow confirmed him short of the sticks on the fourth-down attempt.

Dak seems like a lock for the NFL Comeback Player of the Year but the way he played on Monday could start to make him a candidate for MVP as well.

Dallas Cowboys Week 3 Stud: Dalton Schultz, Tight End

Dalton Schultz started out the game with a dropped pass from Dak Prescott on the team’s third drive which ended with the Cowboys failing to get in on a fourth-and-one on the controversial run by Dak. Schultz shook that off to haul in a 19-yard reception which was one of many receptions he pulled in during the game.

Schultz also scored a second touchdown in the final quarter to put the Cowboys up 41-14. He finished the night with six receptions for 80 yards and two touchdowns as he continued to prove he’s a legit No. 1 tight end in this league.

Dallas Cowboys Week 3 Dud: Tyler Biadasz, Center

The Cowboys got off to a hot start as the offense moved right down the field and scored a touchdown on a one-yard run from Ezekiel Elliot. Then on defense, they surrendered a big play to Dallas Goedert only to pick off the next pass as Anthony Brown set them up at the one.

Dak Prescott gave them some room with a quarterback run up the middle but then on the next play, he fumbled the ball, and it was recovered by Fletcher Cox for a touchdown. Wile Dak is the one who gets the fumble on his name, Tyler Biadasz is to blame.

The second-year center was shoved into Prescott by Javon Hargrave, causing the fumble. Biadasz also got hit with a 15-yard penalty in the final two minutes of the game. The Cowboys line has been better in 2021 than 2020 but Biadasz is still trying to find his footing.
