Kansas City Chiefs (1-2) at Philadelphia Eagles (1-2)

Sunday, October 3, 1PM PT

The Kansas City Chiefs have to get back on track, right? One of the league’s top teams (or so we thought) has now lost two in a row, and are reeling as they fall to the bottom of the AFC West standings. There’s only one direction to go from here.

It’s not like the Philadelphia Eagles have proven themselves to be an intimidating opponent this season. Yes, they’ve looked like a decent team, as Jalen Hurts has exceeded my expectations — which were admittedly rather low coming into the season. Still, I don’t think they come anywhere close to comparing with what the Chiefs bring to the table.

Patrick Mahomes does his thing, slinging the ball and making minced meat of the Philadelphia defense. Kansas City also gets the ball moving on the ground, allowing them to keep the ball out of Hurts’ hands. They control the clock, find the end zone a few times, and walk away with the W.

Despite being 1-2, the Chiefs are nowhere near being written off. There’s too much talent on that roster to expect anything other than a bounce back. Unfortunately for the Eagles, they’ll be little more than a springboard for Kansas City in Week 4.

Prediction: Chiefs win 37-20 | Spread: N/A
