Indianapolis Colts (0-3) at Miami Dolphins (1-2)

Sunday, October 3, 1PM PT

So much for that Carson Wentz trade. The Indianapolis Colts brought him in expecting the former No. 2 overall pick to be the difference-maker. Instead, he’s led the Colts to an 0-3 start as their offense flounders through the first part of the 2021 campaign.

Now “flounders” may be a tad strong — the Colts haven’t exactly been inept on offense. However, they’re not nearly the efficient scoring machine that fans were hoping for. Wentz has only thrown three touchdowns through as many games, which has forced the offense to rely on Jonathan Taylor and the rushing attack. The problem? They’re always playing from behind.

The Indianapolis defense has done its job, but it doesn’t matter when Wentz and the offense can’t put points on the board. Even with Jacoby Brissett under center, the Miami Dolphins have played well on the offensive end and should be able to strike paydirt at least a couple of times on Sunday.

That’ll put all of the pressure on Wentz, who seems destined to crumble given those fragile ankles of his. Miami’s offense does just enough to get the win, further cementing the Colts’ status as a one of the NFL’s most overrated teams coming into the season.

Prediction: Dolphins win 26-20 | Spread: N/A
