Dallas Cowboys Round 4 pick: Romeo Doubs, Wide Receiver, Nevada

When looking at the roster as it is now, it makes no sense to be considering a wide receiver. But when you look ahead to 2022, you can see how it might become a need for Dallas.

Michael Gallup, Cedrick Wilson, and Noah Brown are all slated for free agency next season and there’s a good chance both Gallup and Wilson could have priced themselves out of Big D. That means they need someone else to play alongside Amari Cooper and CeeDee Lamb which is why we go with Romeo Doubs here.

Dallas Cowboys Round 5 pick: Tyrique Stevenson, Cornerback, Miami

All of the Cowboys cornerbacks are under contract beyond this season with the exception of Maurice Canady. It’s not a huge need but they could stand to look for some more depth and competition at the position.

Tyrique Stevenson started his career at Georgia before moving to the Miami Hurricanes. At 6-foot- and 214-pounds, he has the size that intrigues Dan Quinn and could help push some of the veterans who haven’t played as well as expected.

Dallas Cowboys Round 6 pick: James Mitchell, Tight End, Virginia Tech

With their final pick in this 2022 NFL Mock Draft, the Cowboys grab James Mitchell from Virginia Tech, giving them an athletic tight end who has actually returned punts in his career. He’s just 6-foot-3 and 242-pounds but still gives it his all when blockimng.

But where he will make his mark is by making plays down the seams and Dallas could use a solid No. 3 tight end behind Dalton Schultz and Blake Jarwin.
