FanDuel Week 4 picks and lineup advice: Tight End

As always, Travis Kelce ($8,200) is far and away the best play at the tight end position. However, as always his price tag becomes quite prohibitive on the rest of your lineup.

I do not mind George Kittle ($6,700) as a strong option at a slight discount. After a rough start to the year Kittle looked himself against the Packers. Now he gets a matchup against a much softer Seattle defense. At his price point, Kittle may be my favorite tight end play of the week if he is healthy.

However, if you want some cheaper options I like Dawson Knox ($5,600) against the Texans. It feels a bit like chasing points but there should be plenty of opportunities to go around. Mike Gesicki ($5,400) also noticeably saw twelve targets with Jacoby Brissett under center, and if that trend continues he will easily pay off his cheap salary.

FanDuel Week 4 picks and lineup advice: D/ST

Obviously, the Bills ($5,000) are the best play this week against an awful Texans offense, but defense is a position I rarely like to pay up for. Luckily, there are plenty of cheaper plays that I love this week that I would prefer to play overspending up for the Bills.

The Football Team ($4,000) is a great play against an Atlanta offense that has been unable to put up points this year. Even though they are not living up to their preseason hype as a defensive unit, Atlanta could certainly turn that around.

The Giants ($3,400) also certainly warrant some consideration, as their game with the Saints has the lowest over-under of the week. Their defense is actually quite solid and could certainly create a few sacks or takeaways off of a turnover-prone Jameis Winston.

However, the best but scariest play of the week at D/ST is the New York Jets at $3,000. They have a solid defense against a Titans offense that will be without A.J. Brown and Julio Jones. They should be able to keep the Titans one-dimensional offense at bay and easily pay off this cheap price tag.

Best FanDuel Week 4 Lineup

  • QB Patrick Mahomes – $8,700
  • RB Nick Chubb – $8,000
  • RB Jonathan Taylor – $6,600
  • WR DJ Moore – $7,300
  • WR DeVonta Smith – $5,900
  • WR Brandon Aiyuk – $5,700
  • TE Travis Kelce – $8,200
  • FLEX Odell Beckham Jr. – $6,600
  • D/ST New York Jets – $3,000

This lineup heavily relies on the Chiefs versus Eagles game by stacking Mahomes with Kelce and bringing it back with DeVonta Smith. If this game turns into a high-scoring Chiefs victory like Vegas projects it to, this lineup should reap the rewards.

As for the other positions, the New York Jets cheap salary allows us to pay up for some studs at other positions. If Chubb, Taylor and Moore all have strong games, this lineup will cash with ease. Regardless of your eventual lineup, best of luck in your Week 4 DFS endeavors!
