2021 NFL Power Rankings, Week 5: Cowboys make statement, Cardinals take the top spot

As is often the case, the Seattle Seahawks remain a tough team to figure out. They were 1-2 to start the weekend after beating Indianapolis in Week 1 them losing the Tennessee Titans in Week 2 and Minnesota Vikings in Week 3.

That left it up in the air what they would do against one of their divisional rivals as they took on the San Francisco 49ers in Levi Stadium. Looking at the numbers, it would seem as though Seattle lost.

San Francisco had 314 passing yards between Jimmy Garoppolo and Trey Lance and 143 yards on the ground. Seattle, on the other hand, had 149 yards from Russell Wilson and 105 yards on the ground. But they made the most out of their drives as they finished with four touchdowns as the 49ers had three — which led to the 28-21 score.

Seattle is now 2-2 and while they’re tied in last place with the 49ers, they’re within striking distance still and have the all-important divisional win.

Next week is the biggest test for them yet, however. Seattle will be back at home with a game against the Rams who will be out to avenge their loss this week to the Cardinals. That game could have some huge implications further down the road.
