For the first time this season, the Kansas City Chiefs won easily. That feels weird to even say considering how dominant they were during the regular season in 2020 — and this season, they re-stocked their offensive line in an effort to make life easier on Patrick Mahomes.

In Week 1, however, they needed a second-half comeback to edge out the Cleveland Browns. They then lost 36-35 to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2 before suffering a 30-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers.

This week, they were able to win by 12, knocking off the Philadelphia Eagles 42-30, which brings them to 2-2 on the season. It was an impressive game for the offense as Patrick Mahomes looked like Patrick Mahomes again — throwing for 278 yards and five touchdowns. Three of those scores went to Tyreek Hill, who had an unreal 11 receptions for 186 yards and three touchdowns.

As a unit, they also had 200 yards rushing, led by Clyde Edwards-Helaire who had 102 yards on the ground — he also had a receiving touchdown for good measure. Having said all that, not everything was pretty.

Kansas City got the win but their defense continues to be a problem. With Philly scoring 30 points, that means they have now surrendered at least 30 in three of their four games this season. Overall, their opponents are averaging 31.25 points per game with Cleveland’s 29 being the lowest offensive output thus far. This is something they need to get figured out or it could prevent them from getting back to the Super Bowl.
