Losing to the Baltimore Ravens was tough to swallow for the Denver Broncos but even worse than suffering their first defeat of the season was the fact that they lost even more key players to injury.

Travis Wakeman of Predominantly Orange highlighted how many players were already out for Denver before the game, while also saying that they lost Teddy Bridgewater and Patrick Surtain in their Week 4 loss.

"“The Broncos entered Week 4 against the Baltimore Ravens already missing several key players. Wide receivers Jerry Jeudy and K.J. Hamler are down and Bradley Chubb is still out of the lineup. Both of the team’s starting guards, Dalton Risner and Graham Glasgow, also missed Sunday’s game. Just before halftime, quarterback Teddy Bridgewater went down and was being evaluated for a concussion. First-round pick Patrick Surtain was also injured in the defeat.” — Wakeman, Predominantly Orange"

He added that Bridgewater sustained a concussion and is expected to be further evaluated. If he’s out for an extended amount of time, they will lean on Drew Lock but the team has clearly been better when Bridgewater plays.

They do have a winnable game next week against the struggling Steelers but that’s followed by a game against the Raiders, who enter Monday night without a loss on their record.
