The early opening NFL Week 5 odds are out and we’re taking a quick look at the spreads and lines for next week’s slate of games.

With the exception of the Monday Night Football matchup between the 3-0 Las Vegas Raiders and 2-1 Los Angeles Chargers, we’re onto NFL Week 5. We’re coming off a week in which Tom Brady won his homecoming against the Patriots, in which the Cowboys and Cardinals both established their presence as NFC contenders, in which the Chiefs looked back in form, and much more.

How does that affect the NFL Week 5 odds? We’re going to try and figure as much out as we look at the early lines, point spreads and more from each game and offer some brief initial analysis.

All odds are courtesy of WynnBET. And it should be noted that there is not a line for Patriots at Texans, likely due to the uncertainty of the quarterback situation in Houston. So, minus that game, let’s get into the NFL Week 5 lines and see what they have to offer.

Early NFL Week 5 odds, spreads, lines

Rams (-105) at Seahawks (-115), Spread: SEA -1.0 | O/U: 53.5

Seattle is a slight favorite at home but, with LA coming off of their first loss and with the hot-cold nature of the Seahawks, the Rams as slight underdogs is intriguing.

Jets (+165) at Falcons (-185), Spread: ATL -3.5 | O/U: 43.5

A pseudo home game for the Falcons as this one will be played in London, the travel across the pond is likely depressing the total. Also, should Atlanta really be favored against anyone — even the Jets?

Lions (+330) at Vikings (-410), Spread: MIN -8.5 | O/U: 49.5

The Lions looked arguably the worst they have this season in the loss to Chicago in Week 4 while Minnesota was shut down. This could be a big bounce-back spot for the Vikings.

Packers (-175) at Bengals (+155), Spread: GB -3.5 | O/U: 48.5

Cincinnati’s 3-1 record still feels a bit soft at this point and that means there’s value with the Packers as just slightly more than field goal favorites, even if they’re on the road.

Saints (-120) at Washington (+100), Spread: NO -1.0 | O/U: 44.0

Talk about two teams that it’s impossible to know what to make of them. The Saints look different every time out and Washington looks nothing like the defensive stalwarts we thought they’d be. No wonder this is almost a pick ’em.

Eagles (+180) at Panthers (-210), Spread: CAR -4.5 | O/U: 47.0

Coming off their first loss of the 2021 season, the Panthers are sure to be hungry and that defense should feast on Jalen Hurts and the Eagles, who have struggled against quality defenses this year so far.

Titans (-220) at Jaguars (+185), Spread: TEN -4.0 | O/U: 48.5

Another rollercoaster team, the Titans should get A.J. Brown and Julio Jones back for this game, which is a massive boost. The Jaguars, meanwhile, continue to instill anything but confidence.

Dolphins (+425) at Buccaneers (-550), Spread: TB -10.0 | O/U: 49.5

It’s a large line but it’s hard not to buy into it considering that Miami’s defense couldn’t stop the Colts, a team down two of their best offensive linemen. The Bucs should roll in this one.

Broncos (-110) at Steelers (-110), Spread: Pick ‘Em | O/U: 40.0

If we knew the status of Teddy Bridgewater, my guess would be that the Broncos would be favored. Regardless, it’s still hard to trust this Steelers offense at all right now.

Bears (+210) at Raiders (-250), Spread: LVR -5.0 | O/U: 45.5

Though we haven’t seen the Raiders in Week 4 yet, they have been rolling. This will be a stout defensive test, though, and their defense itself will also be tested if Justin Fields can build off a strong second career start.

Browns (-115) at Chargers (-105), Spread: CLE -1.0 | O/U: 50.0

Baker Mayfield played one of his worst games in a long time and the Browns still beat a decent Vikings team by a touchdown. This should be a fun matchup and the small spread indicates exactly that.

Giants (+285) at Cowboys (-350), Spread: DAL -7.5 | O/U: 50.0

The Giants’ friskiness earned them an overtime win but the rival Cowboys are absolutely rolling on both sides of the ball right now. This might be more of a mismatch than the line has it as.

49ers (+195) at Cardinals (-230), Spread: AZ -4.5 | O/U: 53.0

We’ll get to see Trey Lance make his first career start but he’ll have his work cut out for him with the way the Cardinals are going right now.

Bills (+135) at Chiefs (-155), Spread: KC -3.0 | O/U: 57.0

Kansas City found their offensive mojo on Sunday and the Bills defense isn’t perfect. That said, Josh Allen has the Buffalo offense thriving right now and the Chiefs have yet to prove they can stop anyone consistently.

Colts (+255) at Ravens (-310), Spread: BAL -6.5 | O/U: 47.5

The Colts getting one over on the Dolphins shouldn’t fool anyone. Carson Wentz still doesn’t look great and the Ravens are playing well. Baltimore being at home in primetime should lead to a rout in this affair.
