29. Baltimore Ravens: Ahmad Gardner, CB, Cincinnati
The Baltimore Ravens could use some help on the offensive line which is a possibility here. But they are historically known for their defensive prowess which is the way they go with the 29th pick in this mock.
Ahmad Gardner from Cincinnati is the selection and he gives them a rangy corner who stands in at 6-foot-2 and 188-pounds. He’s also a ball hawk with eight picks and 14 pass defenses in 24 career games.
30. Detroit Lions (via Los Angeles Rams): George Pickens, WR, Georgia
Jared Goff could be with the Detroit Lions beyond this season and if so, they’re going to need to surround him with plenty of offensive weapons. That’s the goal here as they take George Pickens from Georgia who gives them a legit threat on the outside — which they need desperately.
Pickens hasn’t worked his way back from a torn ACL yet and there’s no guarantee he will return this season. Even if he doesn’t, he should be able to get back to full health before the Combine and that could be all it takes to get teams interested enough to take him in Round 1.
