The Dallas Cowboys are hosting the New York Giants in Week 5 of the 2021 NFL Season. Here we look ahead to the game with 5 bold predictions for Dallas.

At 3-1, the Dallas Cowboys are now set to host the struggling New York Giants who come in at 1-3. Entering the weekend, Dallas is alone in first place in the NFC East as the only team with a winning record.

To date, they’ve only had one divisional battle, which was a win over the Philadelphia Eagles. They look to not only remain perfect against East opponents but also build a much bigger lead — while pushing the Giants to a point that will be hard to battle back from.

Here, we look ahead to this game with five bold predictions for Dallas in Week 5.

Dallas Cowboys bold prediction No. 5: Defense forces four turnovers

One thing that has been crazy this season is the rate at which the Cowboys defense is getting turnovers. For years, they struggled mightily in this regard as it was a problem under Rod Marinelli and Mike Nolan (although Nolan only lasted one season).

Now with Dan Quinn orchestrating the defense, they’re second in the league in total turnovers with 10 throughout the first game and first in interceptions with eight. Having said that, the Giants are one of the better teams in the NFL at protecting the ball, with just three giveaways on the season according to ESPN.

Look for that number to more than double as they take on an opportunistic Dallas defense. This bold prediction is that the Cowboys force four turnovers, ruining Jason Garrett’s second trip back to AT&T Stadium.
