Quarterly MVP odds: +450 Kyler Murray

No one, absolutely no one, at least outside of Arizona, believed Kyler Murray was going to be this good, this early.

Make no mistake about it, the Arizona Cardinals are pretty loaded. With wide receivers A.J. Green and DeAndre Hopkins roaming around on the perimeter on the offensive side of the ball, and with J.J. Watt along with Chandler Jones holding things down on the defensive end, Arizona has a long list of great players.

Despite the stacked nature of their roster, no one took them seriously in terms of a Super Bowl threat before the start of the year. Now, you have no choice. The reason behind their run towards the top of the chart is mostly due to quarterback Kyler Murray. The third-year signal-caller is playing better than anyone through a quarter of the season.

Murray is ranked second in passing yards with 1,273, he’s tied for fifth in passing touchdowns with nine and he’s the most accurate signal-caller in the league, connecting on a ridiculous 76.1% of his passes. The Cardinals are the only team in the NFL that’s undefeated. They also pulled off the most impressive win of the year, stomping into the home of the Los Angeles Rams and spanking them by 17 points.

It’s early but Murray has been the clear-cut MVP frontrunner.
