Quarterly MVP odds: +10000 Jalen Hurts

The doubters and naysayers of Jalen Hurts should be hiding under a rock right about now.

The Philadelphia Eagles might be a bit uneasy in handing the keys to their team to the second-year player but by all accounts, he appears to be the real deal. Hurts currently holds a top ten spot in passing yards with 1,167 – more than the likes of Kirk Cousins and former MVP Lamar Jackson.

Hurts is also pretty efficient with the ball, completing 66.2% of his passes. Additionally, he has that extra dynamic to his game with his ability to run the ball as he’s rushed for 226 yards. If everything continues, Hurts could finish his year throwing for nearly 5,000 yards and rushing for nearly a thousand more.

The biggest issue with Hurts and his MVP candidacy is that the Eagles are a pretty terrible team. Can they find a way to win at least 10 games? Doubtful. But if they do, that might be enough for voters to show him some love since he’s working with little to nothing.
