Quarterly MVP odds: +12500 Antonio Gibson

The Washington Football Team has a lot going on. And not in a good way. They currently have issues with their starting quarterbacks staying healthy, the offense is horrific and the defense, a unit whom many believed would be the best in the league this season, has been dreadful.

The one bright spot for the franchise has been running back Antonio Gibson. After rushing for 795 yards in his rookie season last year, Gibson is off to a pretty good start in year two. He currently has 295 rushing yards and is averaging 4.3 yards per attempt.

If Gibson can stay healthy, he could find himself amongst the leaders later this season in rushing yards but that won’t do much to help his MVP odds. The Washington Football Team isn’t going anywhere as a unit and no matter how many yards Gibson racks up and regardless of how stellar he looks in the backfield, he simply isn’t going to garner any attention when it’s time to vote for league MVP honors.
