NFL Odds: Quarterly MVP rankings
Quarterly MVP odds: +750 Josh Allen
There have been a few clunkers for the Buffalo Bills Josh Allen this year. They surprisingly lost the first game of the season to Pittsburgh Steelers on their own home turf by seven points. In the process, Allen looked pretty average, throwing for just 270 yards despite heaving it down the field 51 times.
As a whole, the Bills looked much better in Week 2, destroying the Miami Dolphins 35 to nothing. Still, Allen wasn’t impressive at all. The Bills signal-caller threw for just 179 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception.
It hasn’t been until just recently where Allen has begun looking like his old self. In the 22 point win against the Washington Football Team in Week 3, Allen threw four scores, no picks, and 358 yards. He’s still struggling a bit with his consistency at this point though.
In his most recent return to the turf, the Bills left the Houston Texans on doughnut but Allen only threw for 248 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. The Bills are still winning at a high clip and it isn’t hyperbolic to call them a legit Super Bowl threat. But, if Allen wants to bring home the MVP hardware, he’ll have to up his game.
