Quarterly MVP odds: +1000 Aaron Rodgers

The reigning MVP from last season finds himself a bit lower on the totem pole than he would like. We suspect Aaron Rodgers is so low because he hasn’t quite looked like himself. And, being candid, Rodgers should be a bit lower at this point.

Sure the Green Bay Packers hold a 3-1 record but Rodgers isn’t putting up his normal jaw-dropping numbers. He currently ranks 26th in passing yards with 897, behind the likes of Taylor Heinicke and even Zach Wilson.

The 64.5% completion percentage that Rodgers holds, also doesn’t rank in the top 15. The Packers are simply beating teams by the skin of their teeth at the moment and unless Green Bay goes 16-1, the likelihood of Rodgers going back to back is extremely unlikely.

Still, we aren’t going to sound the panic alarms just yet. Rodgers has plenty of time to get back on track. The all-world thrower of the football missed practically the entirety of his team’s offseason workouts so he’s still getting the rust off. All we’re saying is that if he wants to bag his fourth MVP award, he better revert back to his old dominant self fairly soon.
