The 37th greatest quarterback-wide receiver duo in NFL history: Jay Cutler & Brandon Marshall

They didn’t last an incredibly long time together and they didn’t win a ton of games but for three seasons, the Chicago Bears had one of the best tandems in the entire NFL.

There’s a long list of words that can be used to describe quarterback Jay Cutler. He was aloof, indifferent, and appeared to be incredibly apathetic. But when he was focused, no one was more talented. To help bring that talent to the forefront, was wide receiver, Brandon Marshall.

The multiple-time Pro Bowler had back-to-back seasons registering over 1,200 receiving yards including in 2012 when he put up monster stats of 1,508 yards. Cutler and Marshall had a connection when they were on the field together but they never won much of anything together. While they did drag the Bears to a 10 win season in 2012, it simply wasn’t enough as they watched postseason play from the sidelines.
