The 34th greatest quarterback-wide receiver duo in NFL history: Warren Moon & Cris Carter

Originally, the skeptics shrugged their shoulders.

With Warren Moon heading over to the Minnesota Vikings at the age of 38, many were wondering just how much he had left in the tank. However, the Hall of Fame duel threat quarterback quickly proved that he had plenty to offer.

Before Cris Carter teamed up with his all-world signal-caller, he struggled in the league. Only once did Carter register a season of at least 1,000 yards. That said, his numbers flew off the charts once Moon landed with the Vikings.

During their three years together, Carter registered seasons of 1,256 yards, 1,371 yards, and 1,163 yards. It was by far the best three-year stretch of his career. In total Carter banged his head on the goalpost 24 times. The two also combined for 244 catches.

Despite their overall numbers together, the Vikings didn’t do much winning when it mattered most as they were bounced from the playoffs in the first round each season they were together.
