The 50th greatest quarterback-wide receiver duo in NFL history: Sonny Jurgensen & Charley Taylor

By and large, the quarterback/wide receiver duo on this list have won a ton of regular season games. Although winning a Super Bowl is always the goal, we aren’t taking going to take a ton of points away from pairings that came up short in the win column.

To sum it up, the Lombardi trophy is important but it isn’t the end all, be all.

In the case of this current duo, Sonny Jurgensen and Charley Taylor, we simply had to look the other way.

With 11 seasons together as members of the Washington Redskins, the pair made numerous All-Pros and Pro Bowl teams. As their time together came to an end in 1974, Jurgensen and Taylor racked up over 9,200 yards and 73 touchdowns.

Despite their dominance, the Redskins were essentially the laughingstock of the league. Jurgensen and Taylor never had a season in which they won more games than they lost. But while their brilliance collectively was essentially viewed as inconsequential in the grand scheme of things, they were still terrific on the field.
