Dallas Cowboys bold prediction No. 1: Micah Parsons records two sacks and two turnovers

Through the first five weeks of the 2021 NFL Season, Micah Parsons has already established himself as a problem for opposing offenses. He’s registered 25 tackles and 2.5 sacks already while also being credited with 14 quarterback pressures.

He proved to be well-rounded when he moved from linebacker to defensive end when Dallas lost DeMarcus Lawrence and Randy Gregory was on the COVID list. While playing on the line, he was performing like an elite pass-rusher,

The Cowboys ended up moving him back to linebacker and he’s still shutting down the opposing run game and generating pressure when asked to blitz. Against New York, he was in the face of the quarterback more than once and finished with eight tackles and three quarterback hits.

He’s been so good — as has Keanu Neal — that Dallas finally felt comfortable moving on from Jaylon Smith, who had become a problem in their linebacker corps.

On Sunday, don’t expect to see anything change with Parsons. Look for him to make life difficult for rookie quarterback Mac Jones, who has been sacked 11 times in five games. This prediction is that Parsons alone takes Jones down twice, which is the average number of times that’s happened to the Pats quarterback this year.

In addition to that, expect him to get the ball back for his offense with two turnovers as well.

Parsons is a player to watch in the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year race and a huge performance in New England will only help his case.
