
27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Trent McDuffie, CB, Washington
Injuries have forced the reigning Super Bowl champion Buccaneers to sign veteran Richard Sherman, who was comfortable hosting his podcast prior to the opportunity with Tampa Bay arose.
The Bucs pretty much strictly went with future investments in the 2021 NFL Draft but a cornerback that can play right away like Trent McDuffie would be a gift from the football gods at this point of the draft.
The Bucs need a depth piece like McDuffie, who can play inside or outside and could wind up being a CB1 type of player down the line.
28. Green Bay Packers: Christian Harris, LB, Alabama
The Green Bay Packers continue to not support Aaron Rodgers with offensive draft picks in the first round.
That is if Rodgers is even still around.
If the Packers don’t win the Super Bowl in the 2021 season, it will be fascinating to see how things are handled in the offseason with the league’s reigning MVP.
If Rodgers is traded, there will be plenty of Packers selections to discuss in future mock draft scenarios.
Here, Christian Harris gives the Packers a long-term option at the inside linebacker position who can play all three downs. Jaylon Smith is a short-term fix for them and can serve as a clue for what the Packers might prioritize early in next year’s draft.
